My Story

Hi, I’m Joshua Banks. My journey to where I am today wasn’t easy—far from it. For my whole life, I only went to school for five years. Yep, you heard that right.  I missed 1st grade through 8th grade due to neglect while enduring abuse. Those dark years led me to a place where I struggled with suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, bullying, and even substance abuse. I also lost five of my friends to street violence—three of them before they even graduated high school. But through it all, I never gave up.

Despite my challenges, I found the strength to catch up, do the hard work, and graduate—while also starting a family being and working full-time. My story is proof that no matter the obstacles life throws at you, success is still possible.

I’ve had the opportunity to become a successful businessman, a Program Director for a major youth rehab organization, Parent orphans, work in juvinile facilities establish youth organzizations and speak to thousanvcds of kids across the USA. I’m here to tell you that no matter what you’ve gone through, you have the power to succeed, graduate, and build the life you want. If I can do it, so can you.

I share my story because I want to inspire you to keep going, to show you that there is always hope, and that no situation is too big to overcome. Stay in school, stay focused, and remember—you are capable of so much more than you think. You can graduate and succeed, no matter what your past looks like.
